Luther Carson Park - Paducah, Kentucky, is a wonderful facility. It is the site of county fairs, horse shows, Relay for Life, and other attractions. This marker is located at the entrance from Joe Clifton Drive (also known as US 68 and US 45)
There is ample on site parking for cars or campers. The grass infield contains several electrical outlets, and several large trees.
There are stables down the far side.
The track is certified to within +/- 2" to be 1/2 mile. My gps had it spot on.
Laps will begin and end in front of the grandstands. The aid station will be located just after the beginning/end. If you exit the track, please re-enter in the same spot.
Your timing chip will be on the back of your bib #. You must wear your Bib # on the front of your shirt or shorts. You must cross in front of the scoring table under the tower in order for the chip to register your lap.
You can check the monitor at the scoring table for your up-to-date mileage. We will print results at least hourly so you'll know for sure how you are doing.
Please do not return to the timing area with your bib # on, unless you are completing a lap, to maintain the integrity of the results
